Discovering New Technologies in Autonomous Networks: The Role of Digital Twins & GenAI Agents
In this podcast. Ron Porter, Head of 5G, Network & OSS Product Marketing, Amdocs, speaks with FutureNet World Founder & CEO, Giles Cummings. Discussion points:
- The drive towards autonomous operations/networks seems to be top of mind and a strategic priority for many telcos today, and they are working hard to accelerate their journeys. This is not easy, what do you see as the main obstacles they are facing in this quest to accelerate these journeys?
- How do you new technologies play a role? There has been a lot of hype around agentic AI at MWC recently, how can this support autonomous networks/operations programmes
- I have also seen quite a bit of news about the role of digital twins. How do you see digital twins being utilised and what can we expect from this evolution?
- It is clear that there has been a big shift in momentum around autonomous networks in the last 12 months and we are seeing some pretty ambitious plans from certain telcos to reach level 4. As we are coming to the end of the podcast, I thought it would be interesting to get your insight into what you are seeing at a practical level and what you feel is being done to get to the “Holy grail” vision of fully autonomous networks.
