Prior to founding P.I. Works, Başar gained extensive experience as a consultant to mobile operators and held leadership positions at prominent telecom companies, including Ericsson, Turkcell, and Nortel. Over a decade of working with global operators, he developed deep insights into the challenges of managing mobile communications networks. Witnessing the growing complexities and rising costs in network operations, he became passionate about enabling operators to transform and improve their networks. This vision ultimately led to the foundation of P.I. Works, an independent company dedicated to empowering mobile operators optimize their networks, operations, and investment costs.

Under Başar’s leadership, P.I. Works has achieved remarkable success, reaching 84 mobile operators across 58 countries and improving connectivity for more than 30% of mobile subscribers globally. During this journey, P.I. Works has been recognized as one of the fastest-growing companies in the EMEA region for seven consecutive years in Deloitte’s EMEA Fast 500 rankings. Başar is also named an “Endeavor Entrepreneur” by the US-based global NGO, Endeavor, acknowledging his entrepreneurial excellence and impact.

Başar holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Electronics and Telecommunications Engineering from Istanbul Technical University.
