Mariam Kaynia is Chief Data and Information Officer (CDIO) at Eutelsat and a member of the Group’s Executive Committee. She oversees all business portfolio deliveries and corporate tools, infrastructure and cloud, cyber security, data platforms and AI governance.

A senior executive with deep experience in telecommunications and high-tech, she held prior to Eutelsat several executive roles at Telefonica Germany, leading technology strategy and architecture, data analytics, business portfolio delivery and operations, as well as leading their company-wide digital transformation.

She has previously also worked as Associate Partner at McKinsey & Company, served as Professor in Electrical Engineering and was appointed expert reviewer for the European Commission. She was named among “Top 50 Women in Technology in Germany” by Handelsblatt in 2021.

Mariam holds a Ph.D. in Wireless Communications from the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU) in affiliation with Stanford University, and 2 MSc. degrees in Electrical Engineering from University of Minnesota and NTNU.
