Gerry Collins is a Director of Product Management for Enterprise at SES. In this role Gerry drives SES’s strategy to build new and enhanced connectivity services by combining the power of SES’s Multi-Orbit network. In particular Gerry has a focus on how Multi-Orbit communications meets the needs of Industry Digitization and provides resiliency to Digital Infrastructure.

Gerry’s career so far has spanned both the satellite and cellular industries, including senior engineering positions in Mobile Network Operators in the UK, Hong Kong, and France before joining Nortel and taking responsibility for the cellular infrastructure business in Europe. Gerry first saw the opportunity for hybrid Terrestrial/Non-Terrestrial solutions as Head of Remote Solutions at Altobridge and then as Director of Business Development at iDirect (the latter acquired the former in 2014).

Gerry holds a Bachelor of Engineering degree from University College Dublin in Ireland and a Master in Business Administration from the Cranfield School of Management in the UK.

Gerry is a regular contributor at conferences on topics such as Satellite-Terrestrial Convergence, the role of satellite communications in 5G and innovative ways to connect the unconnected.
In his spare time Gerry enjoys coaching rugby.
