Greg McCall

Chief Networks Officer, BT

Greg joined BT in March 2013 from YouView, having previously held senior roles at Talk Talk and Carphone Warehouse over a seventeen-year period.  As YouView’s Launch Director he successfully delivered the service which was at the time the UK’s fastest growing television platform. He also led the launch of BT TV, growing the service from 300,000 to 1.8 million subscribers in three years.

More recently, Greg was the Service Platforms Managing Director within BT’s Networks division. He oversaw the operation and deployment of the EE network, BT Broadband, BT Voice, BT Sport and customer experience. One of Greg’s key focuses has been helping to enable growth for BT. Overseeing around 3000 colleagues, Greg’s team provided for over 30m mobile customers, 5.5m BT Sport customers, 10m voice and broadband customers with an incredible 1bn + broadcast viewers worldwide. Greg also directly enabled the team to successfully deliver 95% of the UK’s broadcast content all whilst managing and modernising critical national infrastructure for the Emergency Services, 999 Services, BBC and Freeview.

On 1 November 2022, Greg became BT’s Chief Networks Officer, heading up Network Services, a newly created organisation which brings together the design, delivery, and operations teams across Networks. The organisation is comprised of nearly 6500 colleagues globally with teams leading in areas such as Private Cloud, Mobile and Network Applications and Services.
