Dr Lee Hui Mien is the Head of Group Environmental Sustainability for Singtel Group. She is responsible for the environmental sustainability strategy and leads the environmental initiatives for Singtel including working with various business units to integrate sustainability into their everyday work including leading the net-zero work within Singtel group. Hui Mien was from the pioneer batch of AGS scholars and graduated from NTU with Ph.D (EEE). She started her career as a research scientist in sustainable product development with A*Star SIMTech. Subsequently, she moved from research to retail where she headed up sustainability for IKEA SEA before joining the development cum conservation sector in her previous role as VP for sustainable solutions with the Mandai Wildlife Group. For her work in Mandai, she was selected as one of nine sustainability executives in the Eco Business A-List 2019 – a list that recognises influential corporate sustainability officers in Asia Pacific who genuinely trying to turn their companies into better corporate citizens. As a trained circular economy professional, her interest has always been on product life cycle management and supply chain sustainability issues.
