
Jean-Benoît Besset
Born in 1969.
A graduate of the Ecole Polytechnique and the Ecole Nationale Supérieure des Télécommunications, Jean-Benoît Besset has spent his entire career in France with the Orange Group. First in Research and Development in satellite systems and then as responsible for the deployment and operations of the ATM backbone network in France. In 2002, at the launch of GPRS, he set up the activity of commercial animation and commercial support for mobile data for Orange Business Services on the corporate and enterprise market. After two marketing positions at Orange Business Services, he joined the Orange France strategy department to model the network and business transformation to fiber optic and high-speed broadband and set up pilots such as 100% fiber cities. In 2018 he became VP for network and IT strategy for Orange France. In addition, since 2020, he is CSR sponsor for network and IT and leads actions to improve the environmental footprint within the technical and IT division of Orange France.
