Mr. Mark Chong, 59, was appointed Deputy Chief Executive Officer on 12 December 2022. He is responsible for Consumer Marketing, Enterprise Business, Engineering Operations, IT Solutions and Fixed Broadband.

Prior to this, he was Group Chief Technology Officer of Singapore Telecom (Singtel). He leads the Group’s technology strategy and innovations in the transformation of its networks and businesses across Singapore and Australia.

Mr. Chong joined Singtel in 1997 and has held various executive positions in the company including the roles of CEO, International from January 2013 to March 2017, Executive Vice President of Networks in Singapore and Chief Operating Officer of AIS, Singtel’s associate in Thailand.

Mr. Chong has represented Singtel on the boards of public listed companies such as Globe Telecom, Bharti Infratel, CS Loxinfo and other non-listed companies such as OpenNet. He is currently an Authority member of the Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore (CAAS).

Mr. Chong graduated with a Bachelor of Electronics Engineering and Master in Research in Electronic Systems from ENSERG, Grenoble, France, on a Singapore Government scholarship and obtained his MBA from the National University of Singapore (NUS).

He is married with two children.
