Ryan Jeffery is a seasoned professional with over 25 years of experience in telecommunications and information technology, working with iconic organisations such as Telstra, SingTel-Optus, NBN Co, Kearney, and many others. He is the Managing Director and Founder of Passionate About OSS (PAOSS), where he provides strategic, practical, operational, and technical advice across diverse areas of the ICT market, particularly around telco software and OSS/BSS.

Ryan’s educational background includes a Bachelor of Engineering (Electronic / Optical Engineering) with First-class honours and a Bachelor of Science (Computer Science). Throughout his career, he has held significant roles such as Chief Technical Officer for Consultel IT&T, Principal Consultant for Infosys Consulting, and Technical Advisor to the board of Vietnam Post & Telecom (VNPT).

Ryan is known for his ability to deliver best-fit solutions based on a broad technology experience, including hardware, software, passive and active networks, databases, and the various frameworks that integrate them. He has full life-cycle experience on multi-million dollar OSS/BSS projects and has led major technical consultancies and international projects in countries like Taiwan, Philippines, India, Indonesia, Vietnam, Malaysia, Doha / UAE and Australia.

He has also contributed to the industry as an author, podcast host, and recipient of the TM Forum Outstanding Contributor of the Year award in 2022. His publications include “Mastering your OSS,” “Inventory of the Future,” TM Forum’s “Transformation Project Framework (GB1011)” and “AIOps of the Future,” among others. Additionally, he has been involved in ICT master planning for smart cities, technical due diligence on tech vendors, and the deployment of advanced network solutions.
