Sharad Sriwastawa joined Rakuten Mobile in 2018 and was appointed Chief Technology Officer in March 2022. As Chief Technology Officer of Rakuten Mobile, Sriwastawa is responsible for the development and operation of the operator’s fully virtualized, cloud native, Open RAN-based mobile network. In this position, Sriwastawa is leading disruptive initiatives in cloud native, container-based architecture, open disaggregated RAN, end-to-end automation in the OSS, and simplified hardware deployment enabling an any service/anywhere approach.
