Wasim Azhar heads Solution Innovation and Growth for Amdocs Networks reporting into Sarit Assaf, Division President and General Manager of Amdocs Technology & Networks. Wasim is responsible for leading Innovation spanning the Amdocs’ Networks portfolio supporting both Customers and Partners as well as driving the Network Solution Strategy internally. Establishing trusted relationship with both customers and partners, the role also drives thought leadership & innovation into engagements ensuring best in class network solutions for Amdocs’ existing and new customers.

Prior to Amdocs, Wasim headed a global team of Solution Consultants at Openet, a Dublin based Telecoms Software provider acquired by Amdocs in 2020; he played a pivotal role in Openet’s customer acquisition and success thus contributing to Openet’s position in the market as a leading technology provider. Previously, Wasim held a number of Senior Management positions at Ericsson and Cisco and has a been a regular speaker at keynote events over the last number of years specifically around the Telco IT and Network domains. Wasim started his career as a software developer in Routing technology and has been an active participant across a number of standards working groups. Wasim holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, a Masters Degree in Communications and holds a Certificate in Organizational Leadership from the Irish Institute of Management.
